Electrical Construction Engineer - AWE

Location: AWE Burghfield (site-based) Rate: £450-£500/day (Umbrella PAYE, Inside IR35 - all-in) Duration: Until end of September 2026 Start: ASAP Clearance: SC preferred (must be eligible to obtain)

We are recruiting an experienced Electrical Construction Engineer to support works at AWE. This is a heavy install / construction-focused role, suited to someone with a strong hands-on electrical background who has progressed into site engineering or delivery roles.

Role Overview

Delivery of electrical installation works on a major, high-security site Oversight of LV / HV systems, installation, and integration Support commissioning, testing, and system handover Coordinate contractors and ensure compliance with site standards Drive safe, efficient delivery in a highly regulated (nuclear/defence) environment

Essential Requirements

Proven experience in electrical construction / site engineering on large-scale projects Strong LV / HV installation background (heavy install focus) Ideally from a time-served electrician background Valid CSCS card (mandatory) Experience in nuclear, defence, or other high-hazard environments SC Clearance (or ability to obtain)
