Electrical Authorised Person (LV) - 12-Month Contract
Location: Kensington, London
Contract Length: 12 months
Project: High-end residential development
Start Date: January
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday: 8:00am - 6:00pm
Saturday: 8:00am - 1:00pm
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Authorised Person (LV) to join a prestigious high-end residential project in Kensington on a 12-month contract commencing January.
This role will involve taking responsibility for the safe control, isolation and operation of LV electrical systems, ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with statutory regulations, site procedures and best industry practice.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the LV Authorised Person for the project, managing safe systems of work
Carry out and control LV switching, isolation and reinstatement
Issue, receive and cancel Permits to Work and Electrical Safety Documents
Ensure compliance with HSG85, EAWR 1989, and site-specific procedures
Liaise with principal contractors, subcontractors and client representatives
Oversee electrical works to ensure the high standards expected on a luxury residential project
Maintain accurate records, logs and certification
Support commissioning, testing and handover activities as required
Essential Requirements
Current LV Authorised Person appointment (or demonstrable experience in a similar role)
Strong background in LV electrical systems
Sound knowledge of UK electrical safety regulations and best practice
Experience working on high-end residential or complex commercial projects
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and take responsibility for electrical safety on site
Desirable
ECS / JIB Gold Card (or equivalent)
