The Person:
We are open to the person who comes in to this role… But we do need someone who can hit the ground running. You will be working on the digital side so automation and SCADA knowledge would be great. Knowledge of IEC61850 would be really beneficial!
But someone who sees this as an opportunity to come in to a world leading company, improve their skillset and work on some of the highest profile projects in the industry.
The Role:
The Application Design Engineer will be essentially working with the Project Engineers and directly with customers where you will be the digital brains. You will be assisting in the advising of long lead times - essentially all the technical aspects that comes with electrical manufacturing.
* Review technical specifications and where appropriate, the preparation of functional design specifications
* Prepare programmable software logic files in order to meet the requirements of the specification and integration with other operating systems
* Design of the project communication architecture and preparation of IEC61850 programme files
* To collaborate with other Application Design Engineers and automation partners during the tendering and execution phases to achieve successful integration between interconnected equipment and devices
