Elective Home Education Support Officer

I am currently representing West Sussex Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience
We are looking for an Elective Home Education Support Officer this role will be: PO191RQ Hybrid
30 hours – per week
The right candidate will:
* To ensure that referred cases are dealt with efficiently and effectively, and that a high level of service is provided to all customers and partner agencies to make certain that safeguarding is at the heart of all we do.
* To work with schools and multi-agency colleagues in order to share information and facilitate positive outcomes for young people.
* To attend case conferences to discuss with other agencies / persons complex plans of action in relation to specific children and contribute to the decision-making process.
* To work with and share information with other children’s practitioners to promote an individual child’s well-being and make referrals as appropriate.
* Responsibility for handling and processing information where care, accuracy and confidentiality are important and keeping records of all work undertaken.
* Building and maintaining positive working relationships with home educating families, EHE team members and other agencies.
