Our OEM Client based in Whitley, Coventry, is searching for an EDU Design Engineerto join their team, Inside IR35. This is a contract position until 31st March 2026.\n\nUmbrella Pay Rate: £30.07 per hour.\n\nDuties:\n\nDesign proposals for EDU (electric drive unit) development.\nPackage assessments on concept proposals Concept development to ensure credibility of proposal.\nInvestigation of potential incremental improvements for consideration in future developments or upgrades.\nOn-cycle issue resolution.\nSupporting cross functional teams to generate potential design solutions to be considered by the D&R and integration squads.\nHelping to Identify design optimisation opportunities for implementation at later design freezes.\nAssembly management and drawing creation.\nManagement of 3D assemblies.\nCreation of detailed component and assembly drawings for manufacture.\nStandards, processes and tool development.\nHelp to identify standards, processes and tools to develop.\nEnsure alignment with customer standards and best practises.\nHighlighting potential weaknesses and opportunities.\nSkills Required:\n\nExperience of 3D modelling tools and techniques, preferably in CATIA V6\nWorking knowledge of GD&T and general drafting Knowledge in delivering innovative design solutions.\nExperience in project management and issue resolution.\nDegree or relevant equivalent experience .\nDesirable Skills Requested:\n\nAbility to manage multiple internal and external relationships in complex stakeholder environments.\nPrevious experience of the automotive or manufacturing industry.\nExperience of Agile project delivery Detailed knowledge of EDU design Experience of Agile project delivery
