A leading Formula 1 team is looking for a Contract EDS Engineer to support the mechanical packaging and integration of electrical systems in high-performance race car environments. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role requiring experience in delivering robust and lightweight electrical hardware installations.
Key Responsibilities:
Mechanical packaging of electrical components including: Enclosures, brackets, housings, and trunking
Batteries, busbars, PCB mounting, and cold plates
High-voltage composite battery pack enclosures
Thermal-mechanical design: Cooling calculations
Ducting, heatsink specification, and integration
Design and specification of AV mounting systems: Sizing of bushings
Test definition and validation planning
Development of tooling and installation ...
