Whats the role all about? As an EDM Operator / Setter, youll be responsible for setting, operating and maintaining EDM machinery to produce precision components to tight tolerances.
Youll play a key role in ensuring production targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
Key responsibilities Set and operate EDM machines (Wire or Spark Erosion) Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications Ensure components are produced to tight tolerances and quality standards Carry out basic machine programming or adjustments where required Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment Inspect finished components using precision measuring tools Work closely with production and quality teams to resolve issues Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment Support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives What youll need To succeed in this role, youll bring: Experience operating and setting EDM machinery (essential) Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances Experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment Knowledge of inspection tools and measurement techniques A proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving Experience with Wire EDM or Spark Erosion processes would be highly beneficial.
