Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Nurse / Early Years Practitioner to join our welcoming nursery team working with children aged 04 years.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a kind, nurturing nature who is passionate about supporting young childrens development during their early years.

You will be working within a diverse and supportive community environment, helping children and their families grow and learn together. We are looking for a team player who can contribute fresh ideas and help enhance the nurserys learning environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and early learning experiences for children aged 04 years

  • Create and deliver play-based learning activities aligned with the EYFS and Development Matters Framework

  • Support children's development through structured and independent activities

  • Build strong, positive relationships with children and their families

  • Support early home learning and family engagement

  • Monitor children's development and set achievable learning targets

  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment

  • Work collaboratively with the nursery team and act as a positive role model

    Requirements

    The ideal candidate will:

    • Hold a Level 3 Childcare Qualification (Diploma/Certificate/NNEB or Degree)

    • Have at least 2 years experience in a similar role

    • Have a strong understanding of EYFS and safeguarding procedures

    • Demonstrate a high level of integrity, empathy, and professionalism

    • Possess excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

    • Be able to work on their own initiative and prioritise tasks effectively

    • Have a positive, confident, and approachable attitude
