Are you passionate about working with children and looking to build a long-term career in early years education?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Chrysalis Montessori, a nurturing and supportive early years setting in Brighton that follows the Montessori philosophy of learning. The team believes in supporting every child as an individual, encouraging independence, curiosity, and confidence through hands-on learning experiences.

As a Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprentice, you will be supported by experienced practitioners who are passionate about mentoring and helping apprentices grow into confident early years professionals. For the right candidate, there is a strong opportunity to move into a permanent role and continue building your career in early years education.

As an apprentice, you will:

• Support children at different stages of development and abilities, ensuring every child feels valued and supported.
• Help create a calm, stimulating and prepared learning environment inspired by the Montessori approach.
• Encourage childrens independence through hands-on activities and exploration.
• Support daily routines including meal times, outdoor play, and personal care.
• Observe and support childrens individual development and learning journeys.
• Work closely with experienced staff who will mentor and guide you throughout your apprenticeship.

The Montessori method, developed by Maria Montessori, focuses on nurturing a childs natural curiosity and independence. Children learn through hands-on materials, exploration, and self-directed activities, while educators guide and support their development in a carefully prepared environment.

• A Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification.
• Valuable hands-on experience in a Montessori nursery environment.
• Support and mentoring from experienced early years professionals.
• Online learning delivered by Best Practice Network.

• GCSE Grade 4 / C or above in English and Maths essential.
• Level 2 Early Years qualification desirable.
• A genuine passion for working with young children.
• A caring, patient, and motivated attitude.
• Commitment to completing the full apprenticeship programme.

• Hours: Minimum 16 hours per week initially, increasing to 30 hours per week from July
• Salary: £8.00 per hour
• Programme: Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship
