The role in a nutshell: Providing a high-quality and professional global mobility service to expatriates across the Europe & Africa Region (EAR).

A bit about the 'Department': The EAR People & Culture team supports the business through executive talent management, regional and global initiatives, and providing advice, support, and governance to TFS and KINTO markets. The department consists of 4 areas: HR, People and Development, TWOW Culture, and Communications.

What you'll be doing:

  1. Lead end-to-end international assignment lifecycle management.
  2. Partner with business leaders and HR Managers to advise on global mobility solutions that align with talent and business objectives.
  3. Ensure compliance with local labour laws, tax regulations, and internal controls across jurisdictions.
  4. Hold assignment briefings with assignees, local HR representatives, and business leaders.
  5. Develop strong relationships with business stakeholders and across TFS and Toyota globally to ensure global mobility processes are followed.
  6. Manage relationships with external suppliers, tax, immigration, relocation agencies to ensure effective service delivery.
  7. Act as SME to the business on global mobility policies and practices to meet its people and operational needs.
  8. Drive continuous improvement and innovation in mobility practices, aligning with employee experience and company strategy.
  9. Propose and implement new policies.
  10. Prepare assignment options and cost projections.
  11. Manage expat payroll and allowances, including cost of living reports and per diem calculations.
  12. Proactively manage assignment extensions and returning assignees to EAR for smooth repatriation.
  13. Monitor global mobility trends and maintain expertise in international assignment policies, compliance, and employee experience design.
  14. Lead short- to medium-term projects aligned with department strategy.
  15. Resolve issues early to prevent escalations.

  1. Assist with ad-hoc projects delegated by the Senior HR Manager - EAR.
  2. Manage and propose solutions to complex issues.
  3. Travel within Europe and Africa Region as needed.
  4. Suggest process and procedure improvements, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
