Salary: Upto £39 per hour
Are you an experienced and passionate social worker ready to make a real impact? Join our Duty & Assessment Team in Tameside as a social worker and help shape the future for local children and families.
As a Senior Practitioner, you’ll deliver high-quality, evidence-based social work in line with legislation, policy, and best practice – always with the goal of improving outcomes for children. You’ll balance a complex caseload with a key leadership role, guiding and supporting colleagues to deliver exceptional practice.
What you’ll do:
Deliver effective, child-focused social work to children and families, ensuring risk and need are managed to the highest standards.
Hold and lead on complex cases within the team, providing mentoring, coaching, and co-working to develop practitioner skills.
Facilitate workshops and group supervisions to support reflection, learning, and continuous improvement in practice quality.
Contribute to service leadership, drawing on service user feedback, performance data, and stakeholder input to drive improvement.
Play an active role in strategic planning and service development, helping shape high-quality, value-driven services across Tameside.
About you:
You’ll be a confident, reflective, and motivated practitioner with substantial post-qualifying experience in children’s social care.
