Are you a Drama graduate or creative professional considering a future in teaching or education? This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on classroom experience while working in a secondary school setting.

We are currently recruiting a Cover Supervisor to support secondary schools in the Maldon area. This role is ideal for confident, engaging individuals who enjoy working with young people and are keen to develop their experience in education.

The Role:

Supervising pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher

Managing classroom behaviour and keeping pupils engaged in learning

Supporting students across a range of subjects (no lesson planning required)

Creating a calm, positive, and structured classroom environment

Gaining valuable experience ahead of teacher training or PGCE routes

About You:

A Drama or Performing Arts graduate (or similar background)

Confident communicator with strong classroom presence

Comfortable leading groups of young people

Interested in education, teaching, or youth development

Previous experience with young people is beneficial but not essential
