Drainage Engineer

My client, a long-established, trusted Multidisciplinary Consultancy is currently searching for a Drainage Engineer to join their growing team of experts near the conveniently-located, family-friendly town of Reading.
Essential Criteria:
- A Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or similar, relevant discipline
- Experience of having worked in a drainage-based role, specifically in a design/consultancy capacity
- Demonstrable experience of authoring Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs)
- Working knowledge of Foul Water and Surface Water Drainage Design systems
- Experience of producing Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
- Knowledge of the relevant section Agreements (including S104, S106, S278, etc.), and their respective applications within the industry
- Competent in the use of the relevant software packages, including AutoCAD, MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, Civils 3D, etc.
It would also benefit applicants for the role of Drainage Engineer to possess the following:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Hold Chartership status, or actively working toward attaining this
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite, and various other software packages
In your exciting new role of Drainage Engineer, you will join an expert team of designers within the industry, with a view to developing your knowledge and skills as you progress within the company. The role will involve a diverse range of responsibilities, including:
- Producing drainage designs, ensuring they comply with industry standards and specifications
- Completing Flood Risk Assessments and Flood Risk Mitigation projects
- Preparing calculations and drawings for drainage systems, aligned to S104, S106, S278, and other relevant Section Agreements
- Liaising with clients and other stakeholders, across the public and private sectors
