Drainage Engineer Field Based
Location: London & South East
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am 5:00pm
We are currently seeking an experienced and customer-focused Drainage Engineer to join a growing team in a field-based, client-facing role covering London and the South East. This role involves attending both domestic and commercial properties to diagnose and resolve drainage issues while delivering a high standard of service and professionalism on-site.
Key Responsibilities

• Attend both emergency and scheduled drainage call-outs
  
• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve drainage issues using CCTV surveys, high-pressure water jetting, rods, and other specialist equipment
  
• Carry out drain clearance, descaling, root cutting, patch lining, and minor excavation work
  
• Communicate directly with customers to explain issues and recommended solutions
  
• Identify opportunities for additional remedial work where appropriate
  
• Ensure full compliance with health and safety procedures at all times
  
• Maintain high service standards and contribute positively to the companys reputation
  
• Participate in an on-call rota to support 24/7 service delivery
  

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years drainage experience (essential)
  
• Strong customer service and communication skills
  
• HPWJ certification preferred
  
• Plumbing knowledge and/or drainage tanker experience (desirable)
  
• Full, clean UK driving licence
  
• CSCS card preferred
  
• Comfortable using mobile devices and job management apps on-site
  

Compliance

• Candidates must be willing to undergo Drug & Alcohol (D&A) testing in line with company and client requirements
  
• A DBS check may be required due to the nature of work at certain sites
