Allen & York are excited to be partnering with AES on this important role, supporting the continued growth of their expanding renewables division Renewables / Solar Field Operations Manager Location: South of England (Regional Travel Required) Full-Time | Permanent About the Role We are seeking an experienced Solar Field Operations Manager to play a key role in driving the growth of AES's Renewables Business. This is a hands-on leadership position, responsible for overseeing and developing high-performing teams delivering domestic solar, battery storage, and EV charger installations. You'll be joining a dynamic management team, ensuring operational excellence, technical quality, and outstanding customer delivery across all projects.

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n Oversee day-to-day field operations for domestic Solar, Battery & EV Charger installations \n

Lead, manage, and support installation teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard \n

Ensure full compliance with industry regulations including MCS and NICEIC standards \n

Maintain strong knowledge of grid connection requirements (G98 / G99) \n

Conduct site audits, quality inspections, and performance reviews \n

Coordinate scheduling, materials, logistics, and subcontractors \n

Provide technical support and problem-solving on complex installations \n

Ensure all work complies with current BS 7671 Wiring Regulations \n

Build strong relationships with customers, maintaining high levels of satisfaction \n

Essential Requirements

\n

\n Proven experience managing domestic solar and battery storage installations \n

\n

\n

\n Recognised electrical qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent) \n

18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification \n

Strong knowledge of PV systems, battery storage, and inverter technologies \n

Experience in testing, commissioning, and fault finding \n

Full UK driving licence \n

Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills \n

Desirable

\n

\n Experience scaling installation teams \n

Health & Safety qualifications (e.g. SSSTS) \n

Experience with DNO applications and grid connection processes \n

\n
