A leading construction and facilities management company is seeking a skilled Gas Engineer to join the Birminghamdivision, on a full time, permanent basis. Having been established for over 50 years they are a forward thinking business, with an excellent reputation.
Responsibilities:
Carry out the safe servicing, maintenance, and repair of gas appliances and heating systems in both residential and commercial properties
Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and necessary fault-finding
Ensure all work is completed to high safety and efficiency standards, in line with current regulations
Provide timely response to emergency call-outs and breakdowns
Keep detailed and accurate records of all work undertaken, including materials used and time spent
Communicate effectively with clients and tenants, offering clear explanations of work required and future maintenance guidance
Participate in the on-call rota to ensure responsive cover outside of normal working hours
Requirements
Current Gas Safe Registration (with valid Gas Safe ID)
NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 qualification in Gas Engineering or equivalent
Proven experience in the installation, servicing, and repair of gas appliances
Full UK driving licence
Background in a repairs and maintenance or property services environment
This full-time role includes participation in an on-call rota for out-of-hours breakdown support.
