Job Description: Domestic Cleaner\n\nKey Accountabilities:\n\nProvide a domestic cleaning service to patients and staff within the Trust, adhering to the defined Service Level Specifications and Standard Operating Procedures.\nClean to a hygienic standard, following work procedures that align with all quality and environmental standards as specified by the client.\nPerform cleaning tasks such as floors, work surfaces, furnishings, and related equipment manually and through the use of appropriate machinery, while adhering to work schedules and Standard Operating Procedures.\nEmpty, dispose of, and replace clinical and domestic waste as instructed, ensuring correct disposal processes are followed.\nMaintain cleaning equipment and materials in a hygienic and safe condition, reporting any discrepancies in stock levels or equipment suitability to the appropriate team member for action.\n\nUphold high personal hygiene and infection control standards while performing tasks.\nEnsure all work complies with Health and Safety policies, Quality standards, and procedures outlined by the Trust.\nActively participate as a member of the team, which includes supporting and training other staff, attending team meetings, and working flexibly to cover colleagues in any area of the hospital as required.\nUndertake other duties as assigned by the manager within the scope of skills and capabilities.\nEssential Technical and Professional Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications:\n\nGeneral cleaning skills, including the operation of machinery and lifting water-filled buckets.\nCompletion of relevant basic skills training.\nFull understanding of Trust work practices, procedures, and Health and Safety requirements.\nStrong communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues, supervisors, Trust staff, and patients.\nExcellent customer care skills to support positive interactions with staff and patients.\nCompletion of mandatory training, including manual handling, risk assessment, and fire safety.\nFlexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the team and Trust.\n\nShould you require any support or assistance on your application, please contact your local Gi Group office directly.\n\nGi Group Holdings Recruitment Limited are proud founding members of Menopause in business, pledge members for Neurodiversity in business, Disability committed members, Gold status pledge members for the Armed Forces Covenant, and Bronze trail blazers for Racial Equality matters. \n\nGi Group Holdings Recruitment Limited group of companies includes Gi Recruitment Limited, Draefern Limited, Gi Group Recruitment Ltd, INTOO (UK) Limited, Marks Sattin (UK) Limited, TACK TMI UK Limited, Grafton Professional Staffing Limited, Encore Personnel Services, Gi Group Ireland Limited and Kelly Services (UK) Ltd.
