Domestic Abuse Practitioner

Belmont Recruitment are looking for an experienced Domestic Abuse Practitioner to join a specialist service in Newcastle. This is a full-time contract position, offering ongoing work with a supportive team.
Key respnsibilities include:
* Providing specialist support to individuals affected by domestic abuse, including crisis intervention and safety planning.
* Supporting the development and delivery of South Tyneside Safer Accommodation and Outreach Domestic Abuse Service.
* Working in partnership with multi-agency teams, including social services, housing, health professionals, and law enforcement.
* Conducting risk assessments and developing personalised support plans.
* Offering emotional and practical support to clients, helping them access appropriate resources and services.
* Advocating for clients within safeguarding frameworks, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Contract Details
* Location: Newcastle
* Pay Rate: £18.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
* Hours: Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week
* Duration: Ongoing contract
