A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking a highly organised and proactive Document Controller to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a newly created role within the business and offers an exciting opportunity to play a key part in shaping and implementing document control processes and systems from the ground up.

Role Overview
As Document Controller, you will take ownership of document management processes across multiple projects. Working closely with site teams, subcontractors, and consultants, you will ensure project documentation is accurately managed, version-controlled, and distributed in line with company standards.
This role will also involve supporting project quality assurance (QA) processes and handover documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Document Control & CDE Management
Maintain and manage project documentation in the Common Data Environment (CDE), ensuring accessibility and compliance with naming conventions and filing protocols
Track and control document versions, approvals, and distribution
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure adherence to document control procedures
Monitor document submissions and deadlines, conducting regular audits with the Regional Document Controller
QA Inspection Support
Support QA inspections by collating and tracking required records and reports
Assist site teams with preparation and submission of QA documentation
Ensure compliance with project and industry QA documentation standards
O&M Documentation Management
Collect, review, and compile O&M manuals from subcontractors and suppliers
Coordinate the delivery of accurate and complete documentation to clients at project completion
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in a document control role within construction or civil engineering
Familiarity with document management platforms such as ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud) or similar systems
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider project team
