We have an exciting opportunity for a Director to join our divisional projects team, which is based out of our North West Midlands office, Wolverhampton. As our Divisional Projects Director, you will be responsible for management and development of the department region to deliver required financial and other targets as agreed with the Main Board. The Divisional Projects Director Managing Director will have overall responsibility for the management of all current activities, development, and implementation of future strategy for the Divisional Projects Team business, and the management and motivation of the team to deliver that strategy. Reporting to Divisional Chair, the Director will take responsibility for all aspects of operational and development activities for the Divisional Projects Team. Providing clear direction to the team to develop a clear strategy to deliver the business plan in order to achieve the pre-agreed targets for the team including the close down of the old sites within the control of the team, the management of health & safety for the on going projects on site; people development within the team; the management of customers in relation to the ongoing works necessary to adopt all roads sewers and handover open space on the development including dealing with escalated customers, working closely with division to achieve the financial budget for the team and operational performance aligned to the Group Corporate Plan. Providing strategic leadership, planning and delivery of the targets for the Divisional Projects Team Analysing appropriate KPI's to track delivery (short & long term) and report to Division , clearly identifying variances and risk mitigation. Ensuring all activity runs in accordance with Company policies and procedures. Putting Health and Safety at the forefront of the strategy and raises the standards across the business. Overall responsibility for the provision of effective Health & Safety in accordance with company's Health & Safety policy. Ensuring the right number, level and calibre of staff are recruited and developed to support the business and future development. Lead, motivate, communicate with and develop staff to achieve best performance to meet business needs. Ensuring that all staff understand the requirements of their job and perform to a satisfactory standard. Promote a Customer Care focused culture in the business. Always maintain an accurate picture of the progress of all old sites issues Manage the recruitment and induction of new employees in line with Company best practice guide. Conduct annual appraisals with staff and liaise with HR to address development needs. Meet with your team members to discuss their progress on a regular basis. Manage disciplinary and grievance situations in line with Company policy with assistance from the People Team. Manage and report all absences in accordance with Company policy. Monitor the performance and effectiveness of direct reports. Train, develop and coach direct reports.
