About the opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Director of Football Operations to join Everton Women’s Football Club on a fixed‑term maternity cover basis. This role offers a unique chance to lead the delivery of a high‑performance environment, influencing both off‑pitch processes and on‑pitch performance through driving standards, enabling performance and ensuring staff and players operate at their best.
As a key member of the Women’s Leadership Team, you will:
Support player trading processes and manage player registrations
Oversee team operations, budget management and financial reporting
Ensure compliance with Women’s Super League and wider football regulatory requirements
Provide comprehensive player support and maintain oversight of the Players’ Guild Association (PGA)
Own Club Secretary duties, compliance, operations and licensing processes, maintaining the club’s high operational standards
Contribute to wider club football initiatives, including projects linked to Goodison Park and Finch Farm
Who we’re looking for
We seek an individual who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, values attention to detail and is motivated by advancing women’s football. The ideal candidate will be:
Hands‑on and able to integrate quickly, providing stability across a busy schedule
Skilled in managing complex operations and ensuring regulatory compliance
Capable of leading cross‑functional teams and driving continuous improvement
The position is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, requiring 40 hours per week at the training ground Finch Farm. The closing date for applications is Tuesday 5th May 2026, though we reserve the right to close the vacancy early if a substantial number of applications are received.
Eligibility and Background Checks
Applicants will need either an Enhanced or Basic DBS check, or evidence of subscription to the DBS Update Service. Proof of eligibility to work in the UK and other relevant qualifications will also be verified.
