Now in its fifth year, Silverwood has grown into a large, multi-campus special school serving 521 children and young people aged 419 across Wiltshire. We are seeking an exceptional Director of Education join our team and help drive the next phase of Silverwoods development. The Role Working in close partnership with the Executive Headteacher, you will play a central role in bringing the Silverwood vision to life ensuring that every learner experiences consistently high-quality curriculum and teaching that drives belonging, engagement and outcomes. You will provide strategic and operational leadership across the school, offering clear support and challenge while bringing innovation, clarity and insight. You will connect and strengthen leadership across our campuses to secure coherence, consistency and impact. You will drive our inspiring curriculum, securing ambition without limitation for every learner across every campus, phase and pathway. Within this role you will support operational stability and respond dynamically to the demands of a complex system, ensuring Silverwood consistently delivers the highest quality of education. About You
Deeply values-led, with a strong commitment to inclusion, belonging and high expectations for every learner A proven track record of improving teaching, learning and curriculum, with clear and demonstrable impact A strong understanding of what consistently high-quality education looks like for pupils with SEND, and how to secure this across a school The ability to lead across multiple campuses, bringing alignment, coherence and equity across teams and provision Able to build trust, clarity and shared ownership through strong, authentic relationships The confidence and credibility to both support and challenge senior leaders Silverwood also plays an increasingly important role beyond its own campuses, working in partnership with others and contributing to the development of SEND provision across Wiltshire.
