Job Description My client, a global FMCG leader with a world-renowned brand portfolio, is recruiting a Director Group Procurement – Metals. With the flexibility to be based in the UK or Switzerland you will take global accountability for one of the most critical and high-spend categories within the Group.

As Director Group Procurement – Metals, you will lead the development and execution of 3-year global sourcing strategies for the aluminium can category. You will act as the global Subject Matter Expert, driving bottom-line savings, leading complex international negotiations, and managing a matrixed regional category team across Europe and Asia. A key focus of the role will be driving the sustainability agenda and reducing the carbon footprint across the category.

We are looking for a high-calibre candidate with the following skillset and experience:

Educated to Master’s degree level (or equivalent) in a Technical or Business field.
A minimum of 10 years’ experience in strategic and tactical procurement at a regional or global level.
Deep industry expertise in packaging, specifically within Metal Packaging for the FMCG sector.
Proven leadership ability in a matrix environment, with the skill to influence and lead without a solid reporting line.
