Job Description
Digital Production Engineer - Independent School | Term-Time Only
Location: Essex (easily accessible through the Elizabeth Line)
Start Date: April 2026
Salary: £22,834 (+ free accommodation)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Our client, a top independent through school in Essex, is seeking a skilled and creative Digital Production Engineer to support its thriving Music Department and wider Performing Arts programme.
This is an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled audio professional to play a central role in a vibrant co-curricular programme. The successful candidate will manage sound production across concerts and performances while overseeing the school's recording studio and supporting the creation of high-quality digital content.
Working closely with the Music Department, Performing Arts teams, the Digital Production Engineer will contribute to the school's growing digital portfolio and support live performances, recordings and streamed events.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Strong knowledge of music technology and digital audio production
Advanced proficiency in Logic Pro and Adobe editing software
Knowledge of microphones, recording techniques and professional audio equipment
Experience setting up and operating live sound systems
Ability to mix live music across multiple genres and performance environments
Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
A proactive and innovative approach to digital production
A collaborative, flexible and positive attitude when working with staff and students
