Role Description

This is a full time role as a Digital Account Manager at Be A Bear, with a focus on sport and live event driven brands. As a Digital Account Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for clients across key projects, taking the lead on developing and implementing digital strategies in fast paced, live environments.


Our clients include major broadcasters, rights holders and sports organisations, where we manage and grow their digital presence across social and video platforms, with a strong focus on audience growth and engagement.


This role may involve weekend work and attendance at live sporting events, depending on client requirements.


The perfect candidate...

You already have solid experience working with sports brands, broadcasters or rights holders, and understand the demands of live sport coverage. You are confident leading teams and managing client relationships, even under pressure, and are comfortable balancing strategy with hands on delivery. You are passionate about sport, digital storytelling and audience growth.


Role and responsibilities...

Client Management

  • Managing client relationships and ensuring clear, consistent communication between clients and internal teams
  • Acting as the primary day to day contact for sports focused accounts
  • Owning timelines, budgets and delivery across multiple projects

Strategy and Planning

  • Leading strategic planning to deliver on client goals, driving audience growth and engagement
  • Creating channel and content strategies tailored to sports audiences and live event cycles
  • Building short term content plans and long term digital roadmaps aligned to fixtures, tournaments and seasonal narratives

Digital Operations

  • Overseeing all aspects of digital content management, from scheduling and publishing to performance analysis and reporting
  • Supporting and overseeing live event coverage, reactive publishing and rapid turnaround content
  • Ensuring consistent optimisation across platforms including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, Meta and emerging channels

Collaboration and Delivery

  • Collaborating with creative, editorial, production and insights teams to develop innovative content and platform strategies
  • Coordinating on site production and live shoots where required
  • Working closely with internal teams to ensure smooth and efficient delivery

Team Leadership

  • Providing guidance, feedback and oversight to digital channel managers and social media executives
  • Supporting team performance in fast paced, high pressure environments

Reporting and insight

  • Responsible for delivering client reports, providing insights and clear recommendations
  • Monitoring competitor activity, platform trends and wider sports and entertainment landscapes
  • Using data and analytics to inform strategy and optimise performance

Commercial Growth

  • Identifying opportunities to grow and expand existing client relationships
  • Confidently pitching new ideas, formats and strategies to clients
  • Upselling additional services based on performance insights, audience opportunities and client needs
  • Supporting new business pitches and proposals with strong strategic thinking and platform expertise


Experience and skillset...

  • 3+ years experience in digital account management, social media or digital content roles
  • Experience working with sports brands, broadcasters or rights holders
  • Strong understanding of sports fan culture and platform specific behaviour
  • Proven experience developing and delivering digital strategies around live events
  • Confident managing client relationships and senior stakeholders
  • Experience using platform analytics and third party tools such as Tubular Labs or VidIQ
  • Strong written communication and editorial judgement
  • Excellent time management and project coordination skills
  • Comfortable working weekends and around live sporting schedules
