Locum Dietitian (Band 6 or Band 7) – Care Home Hydration Project

Location: Wolverhampton Contract Type: Temporary – 3 Months (with possible extension) Start Date: As soon as possible Hours: Minimum 4 days per week (on-site) Pay Band: Band 6 – Band 7

Overview

* We are seeking an experienced and motivated Dietitian to join an exciting project focused on improving hydration within care home settings.

* This initiative aims to support residents’ overall wellbeing, with a particular focus on reducing falls and urinary tract infections (UTIs).

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct nutritional and hydration assessments for residents in care homes.

* Develop and implement strategies to improve fluid intake and overall nutritional health.

* Work closely with care home staff to provide training and resources.

* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.

* Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on progress and outcomes.

Requirements

* HCPC-registered Dietitian.

* Experience working with older adults, ideally within community or care home settings.

* Strong communication and training skills.

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
