As an Underwriter (Tier 1), you will have the opportunity to facilitate and progress mortgage applications, within the assigned mandate level, through to mortgage offer, and completion where applicable, in line with the Bank's operating procedures and policies and the Mortgage Credit Directive.
Learning and developing underwriting skills, via training and coaching, with a view to obtaining own personal Lending mandate.
Offering mortgages to approved borrowers, within assigned mandate level and agreed service standards, requesting any outstanding information if required and verifying it on receipt.
Communicating with intermediaries by telephone and in writing, handle objections and provide objective feedback to any questions.
We offer a base salary dependent on experience of between 30,000 - 32,000 and a competitive benefits package including:

Previous experience in a mortgage administration or underwriting role within a UK financial services provider.
Detailed level of knowledge of FCA/PRA regulation regarding residential mortgages.
