About the Role:
Pertemps Education is working with a number of well-regarded secondary schools across South East London who are seeking a passionate and skilled Design & Technology Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver engaging and practical lessons across KS3–KS4, inspiring students in areas such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, or Engineering.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality Design & Technology lessons across KS3–KS4
Encourage creativity, innovation, and problem-solving through practical learning
Maintain a safe and organised workshop/classroom environment in line with health & safety regulations
Differentiate lessons to meet a range of abilities and learning styles
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
Contribute to departmental planning and wider school initiativesThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Design & Technology at secondary level
Strong subject knowledge across one or more DT specialisms
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
A proactive and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learningDesirable (Not Essential):

Experience with CAD/CAM or workshop machinery
Ability to teach across multiple DT disciplines
Experience working with SEN or SEMH studentsWhat We Offer:
