Design Manager / Principal Design Coordinator – Liverpool, Manchester, or Leeds.


Blueprint Recruitment is seeking a Senior / Principal Design Manager to join our client’s Design & Build team in Liverpool, Manchester, or Leeds.


In this role, you’ll work on a diverse range of clean and wastewater engineering projects, contributing to major developments for Severn Trent, United Utilities, and Thames Water. You'll provide technical leadership to a large multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with water companies and Design & Build contractors to shape the design and delivery of projects valued at up to £200M.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical direction and leadership to a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Work closely with water companies and contractor clients to ensure project success.
  • Oversee the design and execution of clean water and wastewater projects, including sludge treatment, CSOs, stormwater management, and water networks.
  • Guide projects through outline and detailed design phases, ensuring seamless handover for construction and commissioning.


Requirements:

  • Chartered status with a post-chartership qualification (or equivalent) in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Process/Water Engineering.
  • Proven experience in clean water, wastewater, and sludge treatment projects.
  • Strong ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and lead client engagements.
  • Confidence in delivering complex designs that support successful construction and commissioning.


This is a hybrid role, requiring attendance to office twice a week.
