Job Duties: The MEP Design Manager will support the Design Engineering Manager throughout the entire project lifecycle-from opportunity and pre-construction phases through to practical completion and soft landings. The role requires proactive collaboration with Design Engineers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to track the delivery of RIBA Stage 3, Stage 4 and Stage 5 design outputs, perform gap analysis, develop comprehensive package listings or TIDPs (Task Information Delivery Plans) A key aspect of the role includes change management-identifying Early Warning Notices (EWNs) and variations and ensuring these are reflected appropriately in the P6 programme through instructions and compensation events.
The MEP Design Manager will be responsible for forming and maintaining a standards and regulations tracker based on the works information, and for ongoing baseline monitoring to ensure compliance and consistency. The role will contribute to the setup and maintenance of design assurance processes, including development of V&V (Verification and Validation) matrices and Design Management/Technical Assurance Plans.
Requirements: Minimum of 3 years of experience in MEP Design Management, or Project Management with a bias to design: evidencing delivery to program and significant experience in design assurance.
