Design Manager\n\nLocation: Nottingham / Birmingham (mix of site and office-based working)\n Salary: £65,000 - £75,000\n\nWhat You'll Do\n\nOversee the preconstruction phase of projects, ensuring designs meet client specifications and regulatory requirements.\n\nCollaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to create cost-effective and efficient designs.\n Manage the project design budget and timeline.\n Work closely with the client team, liaising across multiple projects.\n Maintain effective communication with clients to ensure all agreed actions are delivered and any issues are resolved to their satisfaction.\n Lead design team meetings and provide regular updates to senior management on project progress.\n Ensure all projects adhere to company standards and industry regulations.\n Facilitate communication between all project stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.\n Implement and maintain quality control procedures throughout the design and construction process.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n\nSkills and Experience\n\nProven experience as a Design Manager for a main contractor.\n Experience within the construction industry, specifically across design and build, new build, and refurbishment projects.\n Strong knowledge of current CDM and Building Regulations.\n Experience managing document control systems.\n\nAbility to oversee the preconstruction phase of projects, ensuring designs meet client specifications and regulatory requirements.\n Experience collaborating with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver cost-effective and efficient designs.\n Comfortable working closely with client teams across multiple projects.\n Strong communication skills, ensuring all issues are managed and resolved effectively.\n A clear understanding of company standards and industry regulations, ensuring full compliance.\n Ability to coordinate stakeholders effectively to achieve project objectives.\n Experience implementing and maintaining quality control procedures throughout the design and construction lifecycle.\n\nPersonal Attributes\n\nAbility to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels, both verbally and in writing.\n Strong commercial awareness with the ability to make informed design and business decisions.\n Excellent planning, organisational, and design management skills.\n Client-focused, with the ability to build and maintain productive working relationships.\n\nIf you are interested, apply belo
