Person Specification

A degree-level or higher engineering qualification in electronics is desirable; however, applicants with lower academic qualifications will be considered, provided they can demonstrate substantial relevant practical expertise.

Skills and Abilities

• Demonstrable technical proficiency in electronics design and development

• Project planning and management capabilities

• Operational understanding of PCB/PCBA manufacturing processes

• Ability to coordinate logistics, including the ordering and receipt of PCBAs

• Experience with sales and confidence to support sales team with technical areas

• Proven leadership and motivational skills, particularly within engineering teams

• Project management experience, effectively managing the company’s client interface

• Willingness and capability to travel as required

• Full, valid driving licence

• Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written

• Ability to remain composed and effective under pressure

• Results-oriented, with a strong focus on objectives within a dynamic environment

• Advanced problem-solving skills across commercial, technical, and interpersonal contexts

• Demonstrates empathy, particularly when engaging with clients

• Active contributor to senior management discussions and strategic deliberations

Terms of Appointment

• Salary: £53,000 basic salary, plus a performance-related bonus

• Working Hours: 40 hours per week, with flexible remote working available

• Sick Pay: Paid up to 4 weeks per annum
