Design Engineer

Cardiff 3 days onsite/week

Up to £500 per day

Our client is currently seeking a Design Engineer to ensure design excellence across a portfolio of 300+ concurrent workplace and job centre projects. This is not a hands-on design role but focuses on design assurance, standards evolution, and strategic guidance.

Essential criteria

• Professional qualification in Architecture or Interior Design (experience in commercial/retail sectors preferred)
• Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale workplace or public sector projects (job centres particularly relevant)
• Expertise in inclusive design principles and accessibility standards
• Proven ability to engage stakeholders effectively and present to senior audiences
• Hands-on Experience Developing And Implementing Design Standards
• Thorough working knowledge of UK Building Regulations and RIBA project stages
