Salary: £38,000 – £48,000 (DOE)
Reporting to: 3D CAD Manager
Hours: Full-time | 4-day week (Monday–Thursday)

The Role

As a CAD Design Engineer, you’ll play a key role in turning concepts into accurate, production-ready designs. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll ensure all drawings meet technical, manufacturing, and quality standards while supporting the development of new and improved products across the full model range.

Key Responsibilities

Produce accurate manufacturing drawings and machining data using SOLIDWORKS Professional and PDM systems

*

Organise, update, and maintain existing drawings and design records

*

Liaise with internal departments including Sales and Interior Design to ensure specifications are met

*

Ensure all designs align with company standards and best practices

*

Provide technical support and product information using 3D CAD software

*

Contribute to continuous improvement of products and manufacturing processes

*

Support manufacturing teams with technical issues and problem resolution

*

Follow the New Product Development (NPD) process and support prototype builds

*

Maintain product and process quality standards

Skills & Experience

*

Minimum 2 years’ experience using 3D CAD software

*

Strong preference for SOLIDWORKS (Inventor or Pro Engineer also considered)

*

Experience producing detailed manufacturing drawings

*

Knowledge of furniture design and construction principles (desirable)

*

Understanding of timber stud wall construction (advantageous)

*

Experience with CAD/CAM and programme nesting (beneficial)

*

Background in modular, manufacturing, or similar production environments (preferred)
