GBR Recruitment Ltd are proud to be working in partnership with a leading Recycling / Material Handling machinery manufacturing business based in Northamptonshire, recruiting for an experienced Design Engineer who is highly proficient in using SolidWorks design software.\n\nAs the Design Engineer you will be strong in designing sheet metal fabricated parts & large structural components for large scale machinery (cutting, bending, moulding, forming & assembling processes), plus with strong knowledge of weldments & designing high capital machinery solutions within automated MHE conveyor systems / recycling systems (compactors, balers, tippers, feeders etc.).\n\nIf you are keen to support the design of high capital machinery & if you possess strong detailing of fabricated products experience, along with 2D & 3D draughting using SolidWorks 3D design software.then this could be the ideal design role for you.\n\nDesigner Duties:\n\n * Producing technical drawings of high quality & continuity.\n\n * Produce detailed manufacturing drawings of machinery, structures, components & layouts from 3D models (on SolidWorks).\n\n * Produce accurate fabrication drawings (Steel Fabrications).\n\n * Produce accurate assembly drawings.\n\n * Produce BOM’s (Bill of Materials).\n\n * Ensuring the drawings & parts database is up to date.\n\n * Work closely with manufacturing, engineering & sales teams.\n\nAttributes:\n\n * A time-served experienced Design Engineer, SolidWorks Draughtsman, SolidWorks Draughtsperson, CAD Designer, AutoCAD Designer, Product Engineer, Development Engineer or similar roles with comparable duties.\n\n * HNC, HND or Degree qualified (all considered).\n\n * Strong in using SolidWorks (essential).\n\n * Experience also in using AutoCAD (beneficial).\n\n * Strong in 2D & 3D draughting.\n\n * Strong knowledge of fabrication & sheet metal work.\n\n * High capital machinery design support experience.\n\n * Recycling machinery experience\n\n * MHE conveyor systems experience (belts, rollers, overheads, automotive, vertical, incline, gravity or similar) is useful.\n\nThis role could suit someone working as a SolidWorks Designer, Design Engineer, Draughtsman, Draughtsperson, Mechanical Design Engineer, CAD Design Engineer, SolidWorks Draughtsman, Product Design Engineer, Design for Manufacture (DfM) Engineer, 3D Modelling & Simulation Designer or similar.\n\nThe position is commutable from Northampton, Kettering, Corby, Burton Latimer, Rushden, Thrapston, Wellingborough, Raunds, Rushton, Rothwell, Desborough, Uppingham, Market Harborough, Leicester, Milton Keynes, Bedford, Stamford, Oakham, those looking to relocate to these areas would also be considered.\n\nInterviews are to take place immediately, with the potential of a December / January start for the right design talent.\n\nApply today
