Job Description
Engage Talent Partners are working exclusively with our client to recruit Mechanical Design Engineers to support continued growth within their engineering team.
Our client is an innovative engineering company with a global client base across Oil & Gas, Renewables and Defence sectors. Due to ongoing project demand, they are looking to appoint multiple Design Engineers within a growing and ambitious design department.
This role offers the opportunity to be involved in the design and development of engineered products from initial concept through to production. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality, cost-effective engineering solutions within a fast-paced, project-driven environment, working closely with internal stakeholders and supporting projects across their client base.
Key responsibilities:
Design products from initial concept stage through to production in a professional and time efficient manner. Producing 3D CAD Models and Detail Drawings to provide solutions in accordance with clients’ requirements. Produce technical reports detailing work completed and the products produced. Including but not limited to, engineering calculations, Finite element analysis and CFD. To assist in the development of company design systems, standards and procedures. Look for continuous improvement. To contribute development ideas for new and existing products. Support work for proposals and projects working to tight deadlines. Review and improve department systems/ procedures/ guides and contribute to inter-department process improvements.
The ideal candidate for the role will have a degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering and exposure to producing innovative engineering solutions, preferably within the energy industry. You will be comfortable using 3D CAD and Finite Element Analysis software such as Inventor (or similar), Ansys and MathCAD. Computational Fluid Dynamics experience is desirable but not essential.
