Job Description
Design Engineer - 3D CAD
ARCA is supporting an aerospace programme seeking a Design Engineer to assist with detailed design.
The role is hands-on, focused on CAD , detailing and design maturation across rotor components such as blades, hubs, spinners and blade pitch mechanisms.
Key responsibilities:
Produce and maintain 3D CAD models and assemblies
Create 2D detail drawings suitable for formal release
Support design iteration as loads, stress and manufacturing inputs mature
Work closely with Stress, Manufacturing and Checking teams to resolve design issues
Prepare CAD and drawing packs for PLM release
Design inputs:
System and component requirements
Existing CAD models and assemblies
2D & 3D Design including GD&T
Stress feedback, load cases and FEM inputs
Tools:
3DX
PLM / configuration management systems
Contract details
Bristol-based (hybrid 2-3 days onsite)
Outside IR35 - ~£45 p/h
3 month rolling contract
