Deputy Security Manager

Utilising your strong communication and interpersonal skills, you will be expected to ensure the highest standards of conduct and customer service skills are displayed by all security staff and will resolve issues as they emerge or escalate as required. As an experienced security professional, you will drive efficiencies by intelligent use of resources and support the wider Cleaning and Security Services (CSS) team with future transformation change.
In the absence of the Security Manager, you will be the key point of contact in the event of any emergency on site or adjacent to our estate and will lead the security response supported by the wider security management team.
Experience of working with Trade Unions to resolve conflict or other issues is essential
Have a good knowledge of the Security Industry in a large multi-site Operation
Computer literate and excellent use of Microsoft Office packages
Educated to A level standard or higher
Ensure a consistent, estate wide, approach to incident response through clear and timely communications and ensuring a professional handover to the Security Manager / or Out of Hours Security Management Team.
Working with emergency services as the security incident response manager and with other stakeholders for internal / external events on campus to proactively support the service provided by security teams and seek innovative ways to develop and improve service delivery.
Assisting all the Security Managers with engagement with Trade Unions on security concerns to manage local issues to resolution
Through on-site support and guidance, the post holder will deputise for the Security Manager and assist in ensuring the continuing professional development of all security staff. In particular ensuring that all managed staff, including third party service providers, have completed our customer service programme
Act as a role model for exceptional service, professional behaviour and best practice while creating an environment that motivates staff, ensuring that they are fully aware of what is expected of them and what success looks like.
