We are seeking a Deputy Manager to assist the Manager in the daily running of the home, in an efficient and caring manner, ensuring the home is operating to the highest standard. Monitor and control all income and expenditure and work within the purchasing cost reportas supplied by Head Office. Ensure that all required records are kept with regard to the requirements of the LocalAuthority, the Health Authority and central government legislation. Supervise the cleaning of the home in order to maintain a high standard of cleanliness. Endeavour to achieve a high compliment of residents. Supervise the laundering of resident's clothing and the home's linen in order to maintain ahigh standard of personal and general home cleanliness.August 2024 To be aware of, and take responsibility for fire prevention procedures, fire preventionequipment and the training of staff with regard to fire prevention and emergencyevacuation procedures Be responsible for supervising and monitoring staff Work in a supportive care capacity on a day to day basis To assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of appropriate training forstaff To have designated responsibility for the ordering, recording, administration and disposalof the Homes medication system To undertake appropriate training and personal development to ensure that they areknowledgeable with appropriate legislation To take part in the pre-admission assessment of prospective residents. To attend call outs where necessary to ensure the safety of the home as part of plannedout of hours support to the home. Effective monitoring of appropriate care delivery systems and routines which meet the needs of the specialised client group, in accordance with the requirements of the"Health and Social Care Act 2008". To include: Assessing the needs of prospective and new residents and confirming that the needs ofprospective residents can be met within the home Implementing and monitoring Care Plan systems Ensuring confidentiality of all information Liaising with GP's, nurses and other allied professionals Providing and maintaining a safe and secure environment Ensuring the provision of necessary equipment and supplies Meeting individual residents regularly Ensuring that there is provision for therapy to deal with the spiritual, emotional, physicaland mental needs of residents Assisting with maintaining adequate staffing levels and the correct mix of staff Frequent communication with care staff on care issues Supporting family and friends of residents when necessary and appropriate to the clientgroup Assisting with the monitoring of dependency levels Complying with the requirements of the CQC in regard to complaints Essential Skills, Characteristics and Experience: Effective communication with all levelsof staff including drafting professionalemails and letters.
