Nocturnal Recruitment Solutions are seeking a motivated and confident Deputy Manager to join a childrens residential home, providing support to young people with complex disabilities and health needs.

You will play a key role in leading the team, maintaining high standards, and ensuring the home delivers consistent, high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities
As Deputy Manager, you will take a key leadership role, actively shape the services performance and guide the team to achieve excellence.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading shifts and setting clear expectations for the team
- Supporting the Registered Manager with the overall running of the home
- Ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining inspection readiness
- Overseeing care plans, safeguarding processes, and risk management
- Challenging poor practice and driving higher standards
- Coaching, supporting, and developing staff to improve performance
- Promoting a structured, safe, and child-focused environment
- Working closely with families and professionals to ensure consistency of care
- Taking responsibility in the absence of the Registered Manager
- Supporting the ongoing improvement and stability of the service
Requirements:
You will need to have:
- Experience in a childrens residential care setting
- Experience as a Senior Support Worker or Deputy Manager
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and regulatory frameworks
- Confidence to lead, challenge, and improve team performance
- Experience supporting young people with complex needs
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
- A commitment to achieving or holding Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare
- Valid DBS within the last 12 months (preferably on the update service) or willingness to complete a new one
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, regulatory standards, and positive behaviour support
- Great communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A resilient, proactive, and hands-on approach
