Job Title: Deputy Home Manager (Nurse Qualified)\n\nLocation: Exeter\nHome Type: 72-bed modern, spacious nursing home\nContract: Full-time\nSalary: Upwards of £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)\n\nAbout the Home\n\nWe are a modern, well-equipped 72-bed nursing home based in Exeter, providing high-quality nursing and residential care in a spacious and supportive environment. The home is committed to delivering outstanding, person-centred care and maintaining excellent clinical and regulatory standards.\n\nThe Role\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Nurse-qualified Deputy Home Manager to support the Home Manager in the day-to-day leadership and clinical oversight of the service. This is a senior role combining hands-on nursing, staff leadership, and governance, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance across the home.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSupport the Home Manager with the overall management and performance of the home\nProvide strong clinical leadership and act as a role model for best nursing practice\nEnsure compliance with CQC regulations, NMC standards, and internal policies\nLead, mentor, and develop nursing and care teams\nOversee care planning, risk assessments, medication management, and clinical audits\nSupport recruitment, staff supervision, appraisals, and ongoing training\nDeputise for the Home Manager in their absence\nBuild positive relationships with residents, families, GPs, and external professionals\nPromote a safe, caring, well-led, and responsive service\nRequirements\n\nRegistered Nurse (RGN / RMN / RNLD) with a valid NMC PIN\nProven experience in a nursing home or care home environment\nExperience in a senior or leadership nursing role (Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead, Senior Nurse)\nStrong knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory compliance\nConfident leadership style with excellent communication and organisational skills\nA genuine commitment to high-quality, person-centred care\nWhat We Offer\n\nSalary upwards of £50,000 per annum\nSupportive and experienced management team\nOngoing training and career development opportunities\nA modern, well-resourced working environment\nThe opportunity to play a key leadership role within a high-quality nursing homeSearch is an equal opportunities recruiter and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age
