Deputy Headteacher

We are seeking an exceptional Deputy Headteacher to join our senior leadership team and play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction, day-to-day leadership, and continued success of Silverways School in Enfield.

The Role

Working closely with the Headteacher, the Deputy Headteacher will:

Provide inspirational leadership and contribute to the strategic vision of the school
Support and, where appropriate, lead on teaching and learning, curriculum development, behaviour, safeguarding, and inclusion
Take a leading role in staff development, coaching, and performance management
Contribute to whole-school self-evaluation and improvement planning
Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and assume Headteacher responsibilities in their absence
This is a key leadership position for someone who is passionate about making a genuine difference to the lives of pupils with special educational needs and supporting staff to be their best.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Be an experienced and successful senior or middle leader with a strong track record of impact
Demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Have a deep understanding of high-quality teaching, learning, and inclusion
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
Share Silverways School’s values and have the drive and resilience required for senior leadership
Ideally have experience within a special school or alternative provision but is not essential for the right candidate.
