Denton Community Primary School & Nursery are seeking an innovative and confident Deputy Headteacher to join our dedicated leadership team. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic leadership team and play a key role in shaping the future of our school. Together, we aim to transform children’s lives by delivering exceptional education and supporting every child to their full potential.
As Deputy Headteacher, you will work alongside the Headteacher playing a pivotal role in shaping and leading our whole school curriculum and teaching and learning strategies. You will monitor and support effective teaching practices across the school and take on the responsibility of Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). This position is non class based but with some teaching commitments and protected leadership time allowing you to focus on leading and supporting good teaching practice.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee whole school (Nursery – Year 6) curriculum development and implementation.
Lead and monitor whole school teaching and learning to ensure high-quality education for ALL pupils.
Support and develop staff through coaching and leadership.
Lead the day to day running of the school.
Collaborate with the Headteacher and Governors to achieve school goals.
Fulfil the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead, promoting pupil safety and wellbeing.
Qualifications
Is an exceptional primary classroom practitioner.
Demonstrates confident, innovative leadership with a passion for improving pupil outcomes.
Has a proven track record for effective strategic school improvement.
Has experience of leading curriculum, teaching and learning, assessment and attendance.
Is highly organised, motivated, and has high expectations and standards.
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils.
