Day Multiskilled Technician – Middlesbrough

Location: Middlesbrough Discipline Split: Mechanical 70% / Electrical 30%

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join a forward-thinking, safety-focused manufacturing environment. In this fast-paced production setting, your skills will directly contribute to equipment performance, reliability, and overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns.

Drive improvements to reduce downtime and enhance efficiency.

Support equipment upgrades, installations, and refurbishment projects.

Perform dynamic risk assessments to ensure safe operations.

Maintain accurate shift reports, maintenance logs, and CMMS records.

Assist in root cause analysis and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Report technical faults and provide recommendations to management.

Monitor and manage spare parts inventory.

Requirements

NVQ Level 3 / 2 or equivalent in Engineering, or a relevant time-served apprenticeship.

Strong problem-solving mindset and proactive approach.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
