Job Description
Data Insights Analyst
Oxfordshire (Hybrid – 3 days/week) | Up to £55,000
I’m working with a fast-growing, sustainability-led online retailer that’s making waves in the re-commerce space – and they’re looking to hire a Data Insights Analyst to fuel smarter decisions and customer-centric growth.
With multiple brands across both consumer and B2B markets, they’ve quietly become industry leaders, shipping over 15,000 items per day. Think: books, media, and tech — underpinned by a strong circular economy ethos and a tech-first mindset.
The Opportunity:
Sitting in a lean but high-performing data function, you’ll take ownership of insight across the fastest-growing brand in the business: a direct-to-consumer retailer focused on everything from personalisation and UX to retention and conversion.
This isn’t just a reporting role — you’ll work across the full data lifecycle, from digging into customer journeys and campaign performance to collaborating on product features like a recommendation engine. The data appetite here is huge, and your work will be at the heart of commercial, tech, and marketing decisions.
The Role Includes:
- Analysing customer behaviour and journeys across the e-commerce platform
- Informing optimisation of Google Ads, Shopping feeds, and on-site UX
- Partnering with the tech team on clean tagging and analytics implementation
- Uncovering retention patterns and building towards a single customer view
- Supporting recommendation engine development with user behaviour data
- Exploring product trends, price sensitivity, and cross-brand purchase insights
- Presenting actionable insights to product, marketing and commercial stakeholders
You’ll have strong visibility across the business, be encouraged to challenge assumptions, and help shape a data-first culture as the company scales.
The Team:
You’ll report into a forward-thinking Head of Data & Insight and work alongside 3 Analysts (2 Senior, 1 Junior), with this role focused mainly on the core D2C brand. It’s a business where data is taken seriously, with big plans for insight-led innovation as they aim to double in size.
What They’re Looking For:
- Experience in a data/insight/analytics role (e-commerce preferred)
- Ability to explore customer behaviour, campaign performance, and business trends
- Experience with SQL, BigQuery, Excel or similar
- Strong communicator who can translate analysis into commercial impact
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, high-growth environment
- Curious, proactive, and eager to get under the hood of real customer data
Why Apply?
This is the kind of role where you’ll see your insights go live and drive measurable change. You’ll have space to grow, freedom to explore, and a product that has both scale and purpose.
You’ll be based in Oxfordshire 3 days a week, with 2 remote — and joining a company with real momentum.
If that sounds like you, drop me a message, hit the apply link, or send your CV to roshnibaillie@harnham.com
