What will you do?

• Build and maintain their Azure-based Data Lakehouse platform, including Databricks and Data Factory
• Design, optimise, and manage data pipelines from ingestion through to consumption
• Manage Dev, UAT, and Production environments, ensuring consistency across all stages
• Champion DevOps best practices including version control, code review, testing, and documentation
• Automate repetitive data preparation and integration tasks to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy
• Stay curious and proactive about new data initiatives, proposing innovative approaches to meet evolving requirements

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• Solid Data Engineering background across architectures such as Data Warehouse, Data Lake, or Data Lakehouse
• Strong SQL/T-SQL skills and hands-on experience with a cloud data platform (Databricks or Snowflake)
• Experience with agile, DevOps/DataOps principles, and cross-functional collaboration with both business and IT stakeholders
• Good understanding of data modelling, database design, governance, and data quality

Nice-to-have

• Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code experience
• Python, Scala, or other OOP scripting languages
• Automated unit testing experience
