Data Engineer (Denodo) - SC ClearedSanderson Government & DefenceSanderson Government & Defence is supporting a major UK public sector programme and is seeking an experienced Data Engineer with strong Denodo expertise to join a high-performing delivery team.This is a client-facing role within a dynamic data services environment, requiring excellent communication skills, a proactive mindset, and strong commercial awareness. You will play a key role in delivering data integration solutions across multiple connected systems, supporting large-scale migration and transformation initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesWork within a client-facing team to deliver base and integration views across multiple systemsDesign, build, and optimise data pipelines to support migration activitiesDevelop and maintain automated solutions, including code creation and testingPerform complex data transformations using appropriate programming languagesEnsure performance, scalability, and security of data solutionsEssential Skills & ExperienceStrong hands-on experience with Denodo, including:Virtual Data Bases (VDBs)Performance optimisation and tuningQuery delegation techniquesCaching strategiesRole-Based Access Control (RBAC)Proven ability to work in client-facing environmentsStrong communication skills and a proactive, delivery-focused approachGood commercial awarenessDesirable SkillsExperience using Jira and ConfluenceUnderstanding of legacy data warehouse environments within large organisationsAdditional InformationLocation: Hybrid working, with occasional on-site workshops (typically a few days per month) in either Telford or HoveSecurity Clearance: Active SC clearance (or transferable clearance from another UK government department) is requiredThis is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-impact government programme while working with modern data technologies in a collaborative environment.To apply or find out more, please contact Sanderson Government & Defence.Reasonable Adjustments:Respect and equality are core values to us.
