Project Manager required to lead the delivery of a new data centre facility, focusing on the physical construction, engineering, and commissioning of the site. This role sits on the data centre delivery side of the business and is responsible for managing all aspects of the build lifecycle, from design coordination through to handover.The successful candidate will ensure that the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards expected of a mission-critical environment.Key Responsibilities:Project DeliveryLead end-to-end delivery of data centre construction projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and close-outDevelop and manage project programmes, budgets, and resource plansCoordinate with design teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure alignment and progressOversee procurement of construction services, equipment, and materialsConstruction & Engineering OversightManage all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with specifications and standardsOversee installation of critical systems including power, cooling, mechanical, and structural elementsEnsure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations at all timesConduct regular site inspections and progress reviewsStakeholder ManagementAct as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, contractors, and external partnersProvide clear and consistent reporting on project status, risks, and milestonesFacilitate coordination between engineering, operations, and commercial teamsRisk & Quality ManagementIdentify project risks and implement mitigation strategiesEnsure quality assurance processes are in place and followed throughout the buildManage change control processes and assess impact on cost and scheduleCommissioning & HandoverOversee commissioning activities to ensure systems are tested and operationalEnsure smooth transition from construction to operations teamsManage documentation, certification, and final project close-outKey Requirements:ExperienceProven experience managing large-scale construction projects, ideally within data centres or other mission-critical environments (e.g. healthcare, utilities, industrial facilities)Strong understanding of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems within complex buildsExperience working with contractors, consultants, and multi-disciplinary teamsSkillsStrong project management and organisational skillsExcellent stakeholder management and communication abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentSolid understanding of construction contracts and commercial managementQualificationsDegree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related disciplineProject Management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP) preferredRelevant health & safety certifications (e.g. SMSTS) desirableBenefits:33 days annual leave4 x Death in Service BenefitContributory Pension Scheme (5% Employer, 5% Employee)This is a phenomenal career opportunity.
