Role Description

We are excited to offer an outstanding opportunity to join our dynamic Central Functions Change team as a Data Business Analyst. In this role, you will collaborate with change experts who are trusted partners in driving our business towards achieving our strategic objectives.

As part of the Central Functions Change team, you will play a key role in creating a single consolidated and granular data solution for financial reporting and analysis in support of our Finance Transformation journey. Working closely with Finance stakeholders, data scientists, architects, and IT teams, you will understand and analyze business requirements, gather and analyze data, and make changes to support our data-driven strategy.

Salary Information

Circa £55,000

Location: Guildford (hybrid)

Key Responsibilities

  1. Understanding the current (AS-IS) and future (TO-BE) business environment and systems landscape.
  2. Elicit, understand, and define requirements to realize the objectives of the Finance team aligned to Allianz UK Data Strategy, translating data analysis and business vision into actionable requirements and insights.
  3. Run backlog refinement and prioritization sessions on behalf of the Product Owner.
  4. Collaborate with Product teams to design and implement solutions that align with our data-led strategy.
  5. Assess, appropriately document, and manage the impact of requirements on Data processing and provisioning.
  6. Support the development, system testing, user acceptance testing, and implementation of solutions by fostering close collaboration with solution partners, suppliers, and business stakeholders.
  7. Run sprint planning sessions, stakeholder reviews, and ensure the product's development aligns with the original vision.
  8. Learn from previous experiences and understand how benefits have been delivered through post-implementation reviews, lessons learned sessions, and knowledge-sharing/peer reviews.
  9. Be proficient in mainstream data tools and familiar with Data Modelling, Warehousing, and architecture concepts.
  10. Demonstrate a passion for the BA role with a successful track record in data-oriented Change roles involving high-complexity deliveries.
  11. Understand and support the Product Owner role through close collaboration.
  12. Work with business stakeholders to prototype provisioning requirements for iterative report development.
  13. Possess a solid understanding of Master & Reference Data, Data Quality, and Data Governance, and apply this knowledge to requirements definition and lineage management.
  14. Use tools like JIRA and Confluence effectively.
  15. Experience in delivering within an Agile framework, demonstrating an agile mindset and flexibility.

  • Ability to communicate complex data concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
