Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Business Central Technical Delivery Manager to lead and manage our development team while continuing to contribute to hands-on development projects. This role combines technical expertise with management responsibilities driving the delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will foster a collaborative, innovative environment, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and align with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
\n Team Leadership: \n Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of software developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Provide guidance on technical issues and professional development.
\n
Oversee workload allocation, performance reviews and professional development.
\n
Assist in establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) for the software development team.
\n
Analyse metrics to assess team and project performance.
\n
Provide training opportunities and mentorship to enhance the team's technical skills.
\n
Ensure the team are maintaining utilisation rates.
\n
\n
\n Technical Oversight: \n Provide technical leadership and expertise, guiding the team in architectural decisions and best practices.
\n
Stay current with industry trends and technologies, ensuring the team's skills are up to date.
\n
Ensure solutions meet business requirements and adhere to coding standards.
\n
Collaborate with product managers, DevOps manager, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of development efforts with business goals.

\n Project Management: \n Manage development resources effectively to meet project requirements.
\n
Identify and address resource constraints and bottlenecks.
\n
Identify potential risks in projects and implement strategies for risk mitigation.
\n
Proactively address and resolve issues that may impact project timelines or quality.
\n
\n
\n Documentation: \n Ensure thorough and up-to-date documentation of software architecture, processes, and procedures.
\n
Facilitate knowledge transfer within the team.
\n
\n
\n Budget Management: \n Work with finance to develop and manage the development budget.
\n
Monitor expenses and ensure cost-effectiveness in development efforts.
\n
\n
\n Client Interaction: \n Collaborate with clients to understand software requirements and expectations.
\n
Provide updates on project progress, address client feedback, and ensure client satisfaction.
\n
Develop solutions for custom requirements.
\n
\n
Skills & Experience:
\n Proven experience in leading technical teams and managing development projects
\n
Expertise in Microsoft Business Central (development, customisation and integrations)
\n
Strong understanding of AL and Business Central development best practices
\n
Experience with API integrations, web services and data migration
\n
Familiarity with Azure services, DevOps practices and CI/CD processes
\n
Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage timelines and ensure on-time delivery
\n
Experience in resource planning and team performance management
\n
Excellent stakeholder communication and collaboration skills
\n
